City Child and Family Centre @ The Aldgate School
The City Child and Family Centre combines the Children’s Centre provision for the City of London with the Nursery and Reception classes of The Aldgate School. The Child & Family Centre provides full and part time day care for children aged between 12 weeks and 5 years. We are open 48 weeks a year from 7.45am to 6pm.
We provide a range of support services and activities for families. These are available from pregnancy until the child starts Reception class at primary school. To find out more about us, why not arrange a tour of our Centre or have a chat with our family support worker, Georgina?
We are working in conjunction with the City of London on their developing communication in the under 5s project (COLTALE). A number of activities and suggestions to support your child's developing communication skills can be found on their Twitter feed and Facebook page:
You can find key documents about the Children's Centre and the Early Years on the Key Information pages of our website.
What's on at the Children's Centre?
Due to CoVid, our live sessions here at the Children's Centre must be pre booked to ensure we can keep everyone as safe as possible. Our staff are all on site and available to speak to in person, via email or over the phone.
If you are unable to get in to our centre and would like suggestions for activities you can carry out with your child, take a look at the videos below, visit our YouTube page (The Aldgate School) or have a chat with one of our staff for suggestions.
